As an aviatrix Sonya became interested int he life enhancing sotires of other aviators. In 1986, she began her first independent venture in the self-publishing areana. She has written, edited and self-published: The Blackjack Squadron: 1988-2005 and Bentley on Bentley. Her organization assisted Jim Pearce in self-publishing his autobiography, A 20th Century Guy.

A 20th Century Guy. by Jim Pearce. In 2007, Jim Pearace approached her and asked if she would take a look at and make suggestions on his autobirography. From there, Jim's book, A 20th Century Guy evolved with Sonya working with Jim in editing, formatting, and publishing his autobiography. (Size 6"X9", 405 pages)
Bentley on Bentley, is the a biography on Richard Bentley which focuses on his experiences as a gunner in WWII, pilot for the Flying Tigers and as one of the founding fathers of the Blackjack Squadron. In his 80's, Dick is building his second experimental aircraft, an RV-3. (Sized: 6" x9", 122 pages.
(Sorry currently out of print) The Blackjack Squadron: 1988-2005, is a history of the first 16 and a half years of the Blackjack Squadron. They have been in existence as a flying squadron on Van's RV aircraft longer than any other general aviation RV formation flying group. Included is the history of the organizations and biographies of the 30 general aviation pilots who have been trained by Marty Foy, Wes Schierman, and Richard Bentley. Getting 33 aviators, who would rather be flying to sit down for interviews was no easy task. (size 8.5"x11:, 219 pages.
